HTC's first dual-SIM Android 4.0 smartphone, Desire V arrives in Asia next month

HTC has announced its first dual-SIM, Android 4.0 powered smartphone.

Dubbed HTC Desire V, the stylish smartphone resembles One S in looks and takes on One V in the specs department. With the addition of the two card slot, the end result is a gorgeous device that combines both beauty and brawn.

The device sports a? 4-inch display which is becoming pretty much the norm these days and is laced with Sense 4.

Fueled by a Qualcomm MSM 7227A 1GHz processor, the device straps in a? 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, 4GB internal memory and 512 MB RAM in its svelte 118.5 x62.3?9.3 mm body. The device weighs just 114 g, giving you a good grip without being too bulky.

Other handy goodies include Beats Audio, FM-radio and connectivity options via Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0 and micro-USB.

The Taiwanese manufacturer has launched its device in Ukraine and Indonesia so far with Asia and Europe next on the list.

With the dual-SIM devices increasingly becoming popular in emerging markets like India, Desire V with its dual-SIM capabilities and Android 4.0 OS stands a strong chance to win hearts and minds of the consumers in the country.

There is no word on pricing or availability in India yet, but we expect the device to make a entry by July-August for approximately Rs 20,000.
